Au Pairs travel abroad to study a language and local culture, while living as part of a family.

In return for full board, they help with the children and perform light household duties covering 30 hours per week.
They must have at least 2 full days off each week, have their own bedroom and be able to attend language classes as well as being given a weekly allowance.

Being an Au Pair will give you the opportunity to learn more about the local culture while learning another language and creating new friendships.

Families in search of an au pair will be asked to complete a registration form to establish specific needs and give details of the duties…

The Bilingual Nanny agency will select applicants who will produce a satisfactory application form and provided suitable employment or school references, as well as a criminal background check. These details will be forwarded to prospective families.

Au Pair qualifications / skills

No formal qualifications are necessary to work as an au pair. However, applicants should have some childcare experience, some social skills and be able to work in a family environment. A driving license is preferred but not essential.

A police criminal background check is required and it is the responsibility of the applicant to forward a copy of this document to the agency.

References will be required from previous employers or schools.
