To be part of the Au Pair programme in France, you must be between 18 and 30 years old, have experience of babysitting (2 references are necessary).

You must be educated to A Level standard, a driving licence is not obligatory but it would be more advantageous to have it. It is essential to have learnt French for at least 2 years at school.

Mostly, our French families would require an Au Pair to stay at least one year. Also, we have families requesting an au pair in September for 1 year or in June for a period of 2 or 3 months. But if you are flexible and agree to be located in any region in France, we will be able to place you the whole year through.

Your duties will cover 30 hours per week, and you will get 80 € per week. You will look after the children and do some light housework. If you are required to work 35 hours a week, you would have to be paid accordingly.

You will be fully boarded by your French family (food and own bedroom provided) and will have 2 days off per week.

You will have to organise and pay for your travel.

You will have the opportunity to go to French classes, although you will have to pay for it. However, the family might agree to share the cost.

Please note that the Au Pair placements are also offered to young men who would be interested in the programme. Although, some families will only select female applicants.
